Wish Big!

Here's a masculine birthday card that I CASE'd and then tweaked a little to make it my own. In an office full of guy's it came in handy!

Card Stock: Pear Pizazz, Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, and Well Worn DSP (Ret.).
Stamp Sets: Word Play, French Foliage, Affection Collection, July Fourth (Ret.), and Happiest Birthday Wishes.
Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, River Rock, and Not Quite Navy.
Punches: Small and Large Stars (Ret.).

Stamp Club Olathe - April 2012

The request was for a man-birthday card, so of course we had to do the shaving cream-reinker background, and of course the card had to have moving parts!

My inspiration came from fellow demo Arla of Topeka, who recently reviewed this "telescoping card" with us. The framelits worked well for creating added interest to the shapes, but of course you could use a variety of circles. I did one design that pulls down, and the other telescopes up.

Such a great reminder to take time to play as you work, just to see what happens! -Kathy

Birthday Wishes

Hey there,

Here's another card I CASED but did a little tweaking and added my own touch. I made it for my 9-year-old niece for her birthday last month and she absolutely loved it. She's a bug catcher to the core and always has something in a mason jar hatching. She didn't inherit that from me, because believe me, I'm the first to stomp on anything creepy crawly! :)

I saw this card on line and just loved it. I've misplaced the name of the creator so I'll have to get back to you on that. It's so clean, crisp and strong, and will work well for masculine birthdays. It went together fairly quickly and would be a good one to mass produce to have on hand. Hope you like!

Here's another one that fits into the "Stinkin' Cute" category! Don't you just love him! I made this guy for a friend whose grandson is celebrating his first birthday. I got the idea online by "hirobinson" and of course tweaked it a bit to fit my needs. The dimesnionals in between the different layers of paper really makes him pop. Hope he makes you smile as much as he did me!

I originally made this card (by Nilakias) in the Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip for my Daddy's Birthday in December. Then when I realized the Birthday Stamp-a-Stack (Jan. 2nd 10-2 at Idyllwilde Studios) was quickly approaching, I thought "oh good, I can use this as one of my designs with the Happy B-Day DSP". Well, as luck would have it, I'm low on Brocade Blue paper so if you like this design, come early, first come first serve! :) However, I do have a different sample created with the Party Hearty set if you happen to like it.
