Hello Again!
I am pleased to begin posting once again! Many of you know this has been an eventful year for me. Last July my little mother underwent radiation treatment for Melanoma. We thought that was successful, and so to celebrate victory and her 90th birthday in mid-August we had a little shindig. Additional complications cropped up in October, however, and she went Home to be with her Lord and Savior just before Thanksgiving. It was a severe mercy to walk that road with her but I have a storehouse of precious memories of reading and singing and reciting poetry together. I cannot praise the Hospice folks enough for their care and support... of all of us.
The past months have been filled with preparation of properties for rental and/or sale, and the sorting and disposition of STUFF. Although I have continued with stamp clubs, I am just beginning to think about classes again, and of course the October Open House at the studio will be here before we know it! We have a new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog (with a holiday mini catalog looming on the horizon) so there are lots of great new sets and colors and materials for projects.
For now, enjoy the walk from the front gate to the studio. Mama Robin thought the sconce just outside the studio door would make a very elegant nest. She and I worked very hard in the yard this spring, just to celebrate LIFE and beauty and growing things. I hope you're celebrating with us! -Kathy
