Felt Flowering Heart

Another project from our demo stamping day in Topeka, this one designed for us by Deloris Carroll. It's such a luxury to go to an event like this with one project (and one swap), and return home with a dozen!! Don't you love the satin ribbon? I'm going to get a stash before the Occasions mini catalog expires. The DSP is the sparkly "Sending Love" - just takes a little bit to set the tone for the card. The felt flower is made by running the "Scallop Circle #2" die through the Big Shot, then running a quick stitch through with contrasting thread. One other very clever touch is the leaf, a punched oval shape that has been scored and folded in half lengthwise before being run through the crimper (a.k.a. paper torturing tool).

Good eye for detail, Deloris!

I just can't get it out of my head how the flower looks like it has a face and the leaf is waving at you. :) Very pretty card though.
