This was Kathy's little goodie we made a while back at a Demonstrator swap, and I can't wait to use it. If only we had scratch and sniff on our computers, you'd be measuring out the bath salts as we speak... It smells heavenly! Good job girl. I'm thinking it would make a nice treat for all of my friends and family who brave shopping on black Friday, and what better way to end the day!
Hope you give it a try!
Monique.
Note: SOME of you have suggested that we merely intended to taunt you with the idea of soaking your tired, aching feet, while withholding the recipe for the foot soak! Leverage, I say...
Here's what I did: Put about a cup of Epsom Salts (reduces swelling and aches) in a clean glass jar. Add some dried peppermint leaves (rejuvenating, alleviates headache) and/or lavendar (relaxing, alleviates headache). These look interesting and mysterious, too. Add a few drops of peppermint and clove essential oils (invigorating, seasonal smell - big improvement over shut-in foot smell). I get this stuff at the Merc, our local health food store. If you like, put in just a drop or two of food coloring to tint the salts. Shake like crazy. Incorporate a little dance routine if you like, it's a great way to stop your family from taking you for granted.
I used the 4x4 envelopes from the SU! Elegant, Pendant and Fresh-Cut Notes (big catalog p. 168) because I have other plans for the notes themselves - stay tuned. The soak - 1-2 tablespoons worth - is stapled inside a medium clear cello bag (p. 159) which is then inserted into the envelope (square of designer paper applied, oval punched right through the envelope first). Seal the envelope, punch a couple of holes and tie your ribbon through. Attach the tag(s) of your choice with metallic elastic cord that coordinates. This cord, incidentally, is one of the truly GREAT deals we offer (cost it out per foot/yard and compare). I am making sure I end the holidays with a roll of each color intact, because it's so beautiful tied together with other ribbon on things like wedding and anniversary cards, or alone when just a little touch of bow or sparkle is called for.
SO, there you go, Kimberly! I stayed up late tonight to divulge my little secret just for you! Kathy
